Crazy as it may seem, we took the whole family on a quick weekend trip to Winnipeg at the end of January to squeeze in a visit with Jennifer's brother Andrew, his wife Moni, and kids Nicole, Rachael and Leah. (Thank goodness Jennifer still works for Air Canada!)
Winter in one of the coldest cities in the country did not disappoint, and the mercury stayed well-below -20° C while we were there. But we were warm and happy in Andrew and Moni's North Kildonan bungalow.
Benjamin and Jennifer took in a basketball tournament in which Nicole was playing, while Rick, Moni and the other kids played at the Children's Museum. On Saturday evening, we attended a dynamic worship service at their church, as Andrew was a part of the worship team.
Although it was a short trip, it was nice to connect at least briefly with family. Thanks for having us!
